Nala

The basics: Female, Mixed Breed, 1 year old, 40 pounds, spayed

All about Nala: If your idea of a good day starts with lacing up your sneakers and heading outside, Nala is totally on board. This energetic, happy-go-lucky pup loves to move, explore, and turn just about any outing into a good time.

Nala is good on a leash and always excited to head out. She also greets other dogs with friendly curiosity. 

On days you’d rather keep things low-key, head to an enclosed park — and don’t forget a ball! Fetch is Nala’s favorite game, and she’ll enthusiastically chase down her target, bring it right back, and wait for you to throw it again with a wagging tail. 

Once she’s burned off some of that youthful energy, she’s happy to switch gears and settle in for some downtime.

This intelligent girl already knows “sit,” enjoys treats, and responds well to encouragement. Volunteers describe her as friendly, joyful, and full of personality, so she’s sure to keep you smiling wherever your adventures take you.

DreamBoat

The basics: Male, Mixed Breed, 3 years old, 50 pounds, neutered

All about DreamBoat: DreamBoat certainly lives up to his name. His friendly nature, playful spirit, and comically oversized floppy ears are enough to make just about anyone fall head over heels.

This handsome boy loves adventure, too. He recently hit the hiking trails with a volunteer and loved every second of it. Nose to the ground, ears flapping in the breeze, and tail wagging the whole way, DreamBoat was completely in his element outdoors. 

DreamBoat approaches new places with confidence and curiosity. He’s also enjoyed romping around with other dogs and breaking into impromptu games of tag. Toys and treats rank high on his list of favorite things, and he follows the “sit” cue like a champ (especially when there's a snack on the line).

After a day of exploring, DreamBoat is happy to embrace the other half of the adventure-dog lifestyle: recovery. He’ll snuggle up close, soak in all the affection you have to offer, and recharge for whatever tomorrow brings.

Camella

The basics: Female, Mixed Breed, 1 year old, 51 pounds, spayed

All about Camella: Can’t decide whether you like walking, running, hiking, or water play most? Neither can Camella. This curious, goofy pup loves it all.

Hitting a trail, going for a run, splashing around in the water, and playing fetch are all right up Camella’s alley. And getting to your destination should be no problem with Camella in tow, as she rides wonderfully in the car.

This sweet pup can be a little shy when she first encounters something new and is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Give her a little patience, though, and you’ll get to watch her blossom into a silly, affectionate lovebug who happily soaks up cuddles. She may also enjoy having a confident canine sibling to help show her the ropes.

Camella is smart, eager to learn, and highly trainable. With the right person by her side, this loving, curious girl has all the makings of a fabulous adventure buddy.

Husk

The basics: Male, Husky mix, 6 years old, 50 pounds, neutered

All about Husk: This handsome pup is a go-anywhere, do-anything kind of guy who’s happiest when he’s by your side.

At six years old, Husk has had plenty of time to perfect his adventure-buddy skills. He walks well on a leash and already knows the basics — “sit,” “stay,” and “heel” — which means you can spend less time teaching cues and more time deciding where to explore next.

Husk has previously done well in a home, where his family described him as kind, curious, and alert. He’s also had positive interactions with older children and other dogs.

Like many Huskie and Husky mixes, Husk believes in a play-first, snuggle-after lifestyle. Once he’s had a chance to stretch his legs and burn off some energy, he’s more than happy to relax by your side and soak up affection. True to his Husky roots, he isn’t afraid to share his opinions and can be endearingly vocal when excitement strikes.
