Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tucker was a "possible owner" surrender to the South LA Animal Shelter in February. He was relinquished with 8 other dogs. All 8 dogs were adopted, but Tucker was left behind. He became incredibly fearful and would snarl and bark at anyone who approached his kennel.
After a couple weeks of seeing this poor pup shaking and frightened in his kennel, I decided to sit with him for a bit. After about 5 minutes, he came up and curled up on my lap. I knew at that moment I was not leaving the shelter without him.
Tucker definitely has some decompressing to do, but he has already started to come out of his shell a bit. He is a true lap dog -- if you are sitting down and he will make himself right at home on your lap. He knows nothing about walking on leash or how to play with toys, but with some patience, love, and training he will come around in no time.
Tucker enjoys the company of other dogs and is very well behaved in his crate. We believe he is about 1 1/2 years young.
