Hi My name is Ruby..
I am a 1+ year old lab / pointer mix, I am a petite girl at 44lbs...I love people and other dogs! My foster mama says I have the personality to die for... She tells me she has never seen a happier pup. My tail only stops wagging when I am sleeping! I just love to be with my people, I have a bed, food and am loved. How can I not be happy? If you pet me, I will thank you with 100 kisses! Not only am I good looking… I am smart too!
When I came to my foster mama’s house, I had never seen stairs before… After a little coaxing… I did it! Now I can go up and down like a champ! I also learned how to sit for a cookie in a matter of minutes! I love to play fetch. I love to run and play with my fur sister. She thought she was fast! I got her beat!
I am shy in new environments. I will need someone with patience to help me adjust to a new home. Even though I am shy, since I am young, I will need an experienced dog owner to set boundaries and be the “pack” leader. My new mom or dad will need to be committed to exercise me daily to help burn off the young energy I have. I would love to go to a home with a fur brother or sister to play with, but I can also be the only dog. I am housebroken and crate trained.
I had a rough start, I was wandering as a stray with 3 puppies in Houston, Texas. I was picked up by the ACO and brought to the shelter. My babies have all been adopted out, now I am hoping it is my turn.
