My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ninka is a beautiful 4 year old, fawn colored American Akita who is happy, lively, and in true female Akita form, "Elegant." Ninka found herself in a high-intake/high-kill shelter after having a litter of pups. See, her former owner took the puppies, sold them, and having no more need for Nina, dumped her like garbage. Thanks to some dedicated folks, Ninka was taken into rescue and, underweight, started building up her weight. Ninka has been spending time with childen (aged 10+) and is happy, waggy, and gentle with them. She loves to cuddle on her doggie bed and of course, is house broken. She does not do well with other dogs and has not been cat tested.

Ninka is living with a super-generous and loving Foster Mama who can't stop smiling when she talks about Ninka. She would make a lovely companion to a lucky family. If you'd like to learn more about Ninka and see if she might be a fit for you and your family, please contact us.
