Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Lacey and I am looking for my forever home.
I am ~ 12 month old Blue Lacy or sometimes called a Blue Healer. I have a beautiful grey/blue color coat with big green/gold eyes weighing around 50 lbs. My foster Mom says I'm beautiful! I am the Texas State dog and they describe me with having an endless heart and drive but are very intelligent and can pick up tasks quickly. As well we tend to be very pack-oriented dogs and need a strong leader that sets clear boundaries. I am looking for a forever home with someone who can be that for me.
I am very kind, sweet and loving and love to be with my humans all the time. I sometimes have a hard time relaxing and keeping down my excitement level. So my foster family has been teaching me how to settle down and stay under control and I have been very successful at it. They take me for walks alot and I do pull a little on leash but mostly because I just love to smell all the things around me! I am still a puppy so I grab things and chew on them, they exchange those with chew toys and I’m happy with that. I crate very well, sleep all night and Im fully house trained and tell my foster by ringing the bell on the door when I want to go out. See I am very smart!
I do love children, but I get a little too excited for young ones and may knock them down. So I would be better off with older children 10 and up. I get along well with my fur brother and sister, I jump and play outside with them all the time, they are older so they get a little grumpy when I get too excited so they yell at me and I just go off and run around by myself playing with my toys. My foster Mom leaves food out for me and my fur siblings and we eat together really well and I don’t even mind if they eat mine. I also have a fur sister cat that I really like, and I get along ok with her. My foster Mom has to sometimes tell me to “Leave her” when she jumps down and I run to smell her, but I wouldn’t hurt her. So I think its ok to have a cat with my new family. For an application please email sherryl825@cox.net. Lacey is current on vaccines, spayed, micro chipped and on heart worm preventive her adoption fee is $450.
