Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is SUNSHINE. I am a Treeing Walker Coonhound who was born sometime in 2005. Everyone seems to think that I’m an older dog (I think it’s all the white on my face), but the vet thinks I am relatively young. One of the volunteers found me on the side of the highway. I was not spayed and had heartworms. I’m sure glad that volunteer found me and that I got spayed and treated for heartworms. I feel just fine now. I don’t mean to brag, but I am the one dog at the sanctuary who can pretty much go out with all the other dogs – that’s how calm and mellow I am. To be honest, I really haven’t met a dog who I don’t like. Cats don’t phase me either. I’ve been told that my true personality doesn’t come out at the adoption booths. You may have seen me there – I’m the dog that is always snoozing. Trust me though - I really enjoy human contact and am more energetic that I seem at the booths (not too energetic though). One other thing you should know - like Kosmo, another dog at the sanctuary, I too have heard comments recently that I’ve put on a few unwanted pounds. So, if you decide that I’m your Hound, a diet and exercise will be important. Why don’t you give me a shot so that I can show you what a wonderful dog I am?
