Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pooter is a 3 year old border collie, who was released along with her sister, Booger. They can be adopted separately or together. They have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and are ready to go to their new homes.
Pooter has no known medical issues; what she does have is a great personality! She loves to cuddle and be petted. She was released to rescue because of some chasing behavior (running children, bicycles). This behavior is extremely common in all herding dogs, and is not surprising given her breed. She has not shown any aggression, but should be monitored when around other animals as she may chase cats or livestock if not supervised and trained.
Pooter is a fairly active, high-energy dog, and would do much better in a home where she can go for runs or hikes, or will have a 'job' such as agility. She has no formal training in herding but would likely very much enjoy learning it! She is a little bit shy but warms up quickly to new people and I expect that given a job and a bit of socialization, she will gain confidence and become more outgoing.
I had a difficult time getting good pictures of her, as she is always either in motion, or cuddling right up too close to the camera.
If you would like more information or to make a donation toward Pooter's care, please contact Jes at docjesadams@gmail.com or 509-690-7343.
