Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Booger is a 3 year old border collie, who was released along with her sister, Pooter. They can be adopted separately or together. They have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and are ready to go to their new homes.
Booger has degenerative joint disease/severe osteoarthritis in both elbows as a result of untreated injuries to both front legs when she was younger. Unfortunately, there is no realistic surgical correction at this stage, short of complete fusion of the joint, which she is not painful enough to warrant at this time. Booger loves to cuddle and be petted. She has shown some chasing behavior (running children, bicycles). This behavior is extremely common in all herding dogs, and is not surprising given her breed. She has not shown any aggression, but should be monitored when around other animals as she may chase cats or livestock if not supervised and trained.
Booger is a fairly high-energy dog, and needs things to do, but should be limited to low-impact activity to spare her elbows. She would therefore not be a good dog for agility or herding, but she is bright and friendly and would absolutely shine at learning all the tricks you could teach. She is a little bit shy but warms up quickly to new people and I expect that given a job and a bit of socialization, she will gain confidence and become more outgoing.
I had a difficult time getting good pictures of her, as she is always either in motion, or cuddling right up too close to the camera.
