Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com
***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!***
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to come look at a dog.
We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.
We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA.
Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, or cash.
Ruby is a 9 month old, 7 pound puppy looking for her forever home. She is possibly a Jack Russell terrier Schnauzer mix, but we have no way of knowing for sure what breeds she is mixed with, short of doing a DNA test. Ruby is spayed, microchipped, heart worm negative, dewormed, and up to date on vaccinations.
Ruby gets along with other dogs of all sizes and loves people. She has been around respectful children in her foster home. We have not had her around cats, though, so we're not sure what she thinks of them.
It’s mandatory that Ruby to go to a forever home with another very playful dog in the home as she loves the companionship of other dogs.
Ruby has a sad tail but thank goodness it worked out the way it did. Ruby was not in a great situation in her previous home. A wonderful lady came along and could not bear to see what might happen to her, so she offered the people money for Ruby with the intention of finding her a loving forever home.
Ruby’s foster mum says she is a pure love and joy to have in her home as she plays with all the other dogs and loves to snuggle and is very affectionate and oh so very sweet. Ruby rides well in the car but is still learning how to walk on a leash.
As with all of our rescue puppies, Ruby will need work on house and obedience training. We are looking for a forever family who will be committed to working with her. We expect adopters to be willing to commit to a dog's care for their whole life, including working with a trainer if necessary.
Our rescue dogs need homes with people who are understanding of their past and are not willing to give up on them. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved in a safe environment with a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet pups do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.
Ruby has an adoption fee of $685 and is ready for her truly loving forever home with compassion and understanding of what she has been through.
