What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I have been with Baxter since my ex found him on the side of the road as a kitten in 2016. Since then he has lived with multiple large dogs as well as a spayed female cat. He does fine with non aggressive dogs. He got along with the female cat pretty well (no real fights, just aggressive playing) but did NOT like sharing litter boxes (even when there were 4 between the 2 cats, he would pee right outside them). He’s been living as the only cat since 2020 and seems to prefer it, though he often shows playful interest in the strays that roam my neighborhood and property. He is strictly an indoor cat but does fine on a harness and leash for backyard adventures. His last vet visit was July 2024 and overall health was good, aside from gingivitis which will require surgery in the next 1-2 years (~$2000). He prefers wet food but still grazes on kibble throughout the day. He’s allergic to anything but salmon. I’m highly allergic to cats and can’t make it work any longer. A quiet home is best.
