My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Rice, because that’s where I was found as a kitten, in 2009. I’ve been doing my time as an outdoor cat, which ended with me hung by the toes from the top of a light pole. My prior family wanted to get me taken care of, but just couldn’t afford surgery to amputate my leg, so they released me to rescue.

I am seeking an indoor-only home as I am now down a peg and not as able to climb and dodge.

I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and leukemia/FIV negative.

I am very friendly with people and grew up with several small children as well as other pets. In addition to my outdoor adventures, I’ve been inside and know not to get on counters or tables, though I do like to sleep on the bed or couch.
While I like being inside, I am not so fond of being in a kennel! I would much rather be exploring your house!
