My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet girl is Pepper. She is an approximately 6 year old. She is a Terrier/Cattle Dog mix who weighs 45 lbs.

Pepper loves her people. She is loyal and your #1 best friend. She really would love a home where she got to spend her time being with her person. Pepper can be playful and loves to run around the yard playing with her toys.

Pepper is dog selective, so she would do best as the only dog in the home. She is very loyal and will be your best friend and companion.

Pepper is a pretty nervous dog when it comes to new places and new people. It can take her time to warm up in new situations. She does well in the comfort of her own home with her own people but can shut down in new environments.

Pepper would like a home where she has active owners who will play with her, rub her belly, and spend time with her. Pepper has lived with older kids and did great with them (age 7-12). She adores all the kids she has meet and would make a fantastic companion.

Pepper is house trained. Pepper is not a fan of her crate - she has some separation anxiety when left. She is good on a leash.

Pepper is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $225.

Since Pepper is in boarding, she qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or just a foster.

Additional adoption info

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), a house check, and our adoption fee is $225.00.

If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.

Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along.

More about this rescue

Forever Yours Dog Rescue was founded on November 8th, 2011, with the mission of helping smaller animal shelters located throughout Oklahoma.

We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.

We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.

We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.

We are all volunteer based, with no paid employees.
Please support us in our mission to attain a time in Oklahoma when there are homes for all adoptable pets by donating at www.foreveryoursokc.org/donate.
