Tilly is a very sweet and eager to please little doggy. She is highly treat motivated and easy to train because of this. She is very affectionate and also self reliant when left alone. I think Tilly would be best suited for a mature person or couple without small children. She currently is being fostered by a lady with 20 cats and doing great. Tilly was acquired from a family who lived on 10 acres but she kept escaping and running away. As a result she was kenneled outside with bigger dogs. Tilly is very fearful of other dogs now and extremely food protective. This is why I strongly recommend she is the only dog in the family. When we got her she was the only dog. However we have since gotten another dog that she tolerated for a while but I believe it caused stress reactions in both dogs. She can be impulsive when she feels her food is threatened so I think only very responsible older kids should be around her.
