Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, are you looking for the most loyal, best buddy in the whole world? And do have an enormous amount of patience? If so, let me introduce you to Dodger. He’s a 6-7 year old golden mix. He has all the loving, loyal traits of a golden retriever- always happy to see you. Never wants to leave your side, loves his toys, and is just a goofy, super loving boy. He walks amazing well on a leash when he is by himself, but is not as good when his foster brothers come too! He just gets so excited!
He had a very rough past and unfortunately has some nuances that will probably never go away (hence the patience needed with him!). His one challenge is he is fecal incontinent. He doesn’t seems to be able to feel it when he starts to “go” and once he starts, he can’t stop it. His foster home keeps him on a strict diet to make sure his stool stays firm and easy to pick up, and he’s on a pretty regular schedule, but you do need to stay outside with him while he goes.
He will need to go to a home with another dog, as he take his cues from other dogs. He would do best without cats or other fun small creatures to chase. And he loves to roam certain rooms in the house- he is not a dog who can be crated.
We require an application, phone interview and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed. Our adoption fee for dogs under 9 months is $400, dogs between 9 months and 8 years is $350 and our super seniors are $125. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you!
