MASON and his brother PERRY are 5-month-old, Bombay mix kittens that were rescued. PERRY was healthy but MASON’s eyes were badly infected and had to be surgically removed. MASON IS BLIND. By using his other senses - hearing, smell, taste, and touch - MASON navigates very well around the house while PERRY lovingly watches over him. They play, cuddle, explore, and love people! They have NEVER been and must NEVER be separated.
Despite being blind, MASON likes to be in charge of where he goes and how he gets there. If his foster mom sits down, calls him and pats her lap so he can hear where she is, he comes running over, climbs into her lap, or climbs on her shoulder and sits there. Sometimes he stands on her lap and gives her hugs and kisses. Then, PERRY runs over to sit with them and gives kisses too. These two precious boys are irrevocably bonded and love their foster mom.
PERRY and MASON are happy, healthy, playful, loving, purry kitties, and are always together, sleeping together on top of the cat tree, chasing the same toy, and eating at the same time. They require a quiet environment - no young children or dogs - with people who can spend a lot of time helping MASON by teaching him about the obstacles he might encounter, the location of his litter box(es), food and water dishes, as well as furniture. It’s critical that these items remain in permanent locations, at least until he’s comfortable with his new family and home. PERRY and MASON must NEVER be allowed outdoors and their family must insure that they are protected from getting out or other accidents of any kind.
PERRY and MASON have been neutered, microchipped, tested (all negative results), and vaccinated. They are located in Beach Haven Terrace on Long Beach Island, NJ. A meetup or transport may be arranged to Manahawkin, Stafford or Barnegat NJ as well as possibly to the Philadelphia, PA region.
