Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Leo is/was my nephew's dog who was acquired from a past girlfriend that was about to set him out in the street because she was moving and could not have pets at the new location. Leo is very energetic, smart, and loves to play. He knows fun games like Hide ‘n Seek and loves all toys. He is loyal to his family, wanting to play all of the time and keep them safe. Leo loves to explore outdoors. He wants all of your love, hugs, and kisses, and enjoys being a true “lap dog”! Leo is selective about his inner circle of friends. What I've witnessed in two weeks is that he is unsure of many people, as there is a reported history of past abuse, and he has not been socialized to other animals, thus he does not know how to interact with them. Keep chew toys handy, he chews on everything. He know some commands, but staying true to the Rat Terrier breed, he is stubborn and not easily incentivized. He is extremely smart and capable of learning a lot with an experienced, patient pet owner.
