The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. That said, it’s not uncommon for cats to live into their late teens or twenties. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common.
CASION and CASSIE were living in really bad area of Torrance, CA. The independent rescuer was asked to help get the local strays fixed and save these 2 teenagers. We were more than happy to help! These poor little guys were so malnourished, sick and scared. So once there was space at our rescue, we picked them up!
Meet CASION, a gentle and shy black and white Turkish Van from Torrance, California, whose sweet nature is just waiting to be uncovered by a patient and loving family. CASION may be a little skittish at first, but once he feels safe and secure, his playful side shines through, and you'll discover what a joyful companion he truly is.
CASION’s delicate personality means he’s not one to rush into new situations, but with a little time and a lot of understanding, he becomes a loving presence in your home. He’s especially fond of wet cat food and churru treats—there’s nothing quite like seeing his eyes light up when he gets a taste of something yummy. His quiet demeanor can sometimes be mistaken for shyness, but CASION has a lot of love to give once he feels at ease.
This Turkish Van is also playful and curious, and he loves to chase after toys and explore his surroundings when he’s feeling comfortable. His playful spirit is sure to bring a smile to your face as he tumbles around, showing off his natural agility. CASION also adores the company of other friendly cats. He’s a social kitty at heart and would thrive in a home with another gentle feline friend to share his days with.
CASION may be a little more reserved than some cats, but in the right environment, with a patient family who understands his need for slow introductions, he will blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

JANUARY 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 4 pm - 7 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.

The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
