Shadow is a sweet and very smart girl. She has been outdoors chained up all of her life so she is so ready and deserving of living inside with her forever family. She can be dog selective but with proper introduction she could do good! She is heartworm positive. She has started treatment.

Our adoption fees range from $35-$125, which includes a microchip. If the dog/cat is not vaccinated or spayed/neutered before adoption, you have 30 days to set appointment and return paperwork to WCHS. We also require a copy of your drivers license to attach to your adoption file.

We are 1 of 3 Humane Society AND Animal Control facilities in the state of Illinois. We are a private organization that is contracted with our county and several localities within our county to provide animal control services. We have 2 full time employees and 2 part time employees that care for our furry friends daily.
