Her ideal home? Private yard space, no other pets, adult only. Xena is pushy, strong and loud. She`s also pretty, loving and has awesome recall!

Xena came to CCR as a transfer in September of 2022. She was a year old then-- just a pup! Now, she`s 4!?
Xena is a sporty gal, but also a princess at heart. She has a magnetic and fun-loving personality, and loves to play more than anything else! She is a champion at fetching toys outside and relishes in the opportunity to sniff everything. She could find a kibble in a haystack!
Xena is very strong and is known to pull on her leash during walks, but she`s also very, very food motivated. She can be reactive on the leash and has quite the bark. We think her ideal home might be one with a secure fence to let her play, run and enjoy some freedom! But leashed walks in a calm neighborhood would work too.
Maybe you’re ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Or maybe you’d rather take the day to spoil yourself and relax on the couch for now. Either way, Xena`s been waiting to meet you!

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
