What volunteers have to say about this animal: Sam has been with the shelter since 2022. During this time Sam has really shown us his personality, and how much he loves his toys. He will happily spend his mornings showing the kennel staff all the toys he was giving the day before, and the stuffed animals seem to really be his favorites. His volunteer friends tell us that Sam is a little shy when he is first meeting new people, but once you take the chance to get to know him, he really shines. Besides his plushies, his favorite activities are playing fetch in the yard and going for long walks. If you are looking for a great playmate for yourself, Sam might fit well into your life!
---
Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Sam is very outgoing once he gets comfortable, he just doesn’t always introduce well to new people, so you may need to go slow to begin with. He likes toys, particularly tennis balls, and is an all-around fun guy. Sam is one that you will want to watch as he seems to be a bit of an escape artist.
