My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re considering a dry January (or any month) but aren’t quite ready to go cold turkey, might we suggest a non-alcoholic Whiskey? Our Whiskey is sweet, smooth and he will keep you cozy and warm better than Jack Daniels or Johnnie Walker ever could! Whiskey’s volunteer friends just can’t get enough of this terrific boy, with one sharing:

“Whiskey is a gorgeous, playful pup! He was easy to leash up in his kennel and once we got to the play yard he went potty and then came over to me for pets and treats. He was very good about taking treats and he would sit and lay down, wondering which of those things I wanted him to do! He obviously has had some training and I`m sure he would love to learn new things in his furever home! After some human snuggle time, he got really playful and started engaging his kennelmate in friendly play. He`s a great boy!”

Whiskey came into the shelter when his elderly owner could no longer care for him, but they told us wonderful things about him! His former owner shared that Whiskey is:

- House and crate trained
- A good leash walker
- A Velcro dog who loves to be near his person
- A playful boy who loves toys and swimming
- A smart boy who knows tricks
- Independent
- Affectionate
- An adventure buddy who likes to go hiking and ride in the car

Whiskey shares his kennel politely with another PACC pup and has been playful, social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.

Whiskey can sometimes be nervous when meeting new people, so an ideal home for him would be one in which he is not expected to immediately interact with lots of unfamiliar people and where he has a safe place to retreat to if he’s uncomfortable (like a crate). But, Whiskey warms up quickly and has been super friendly and quickly affectionate with volunteers at the shelter.

If you’re looking for an affectionate, playful, smart (and not to mention SOFT!) new best friend, come meet sweet Whiskey today! No hangovers, guaranteed!
