My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Turbo
Hey, world, stop the merry-go-round, I want to get off! I am only 5-years-old, and I have had three owners and have been surrendered three times through no fault of my own. I lived with three other cats for three years in my first home, where we had to share three litterboxes. Booooo! (Three is not my lucky number.) I was adopted again very soon, but after one and a half years, I was surrendered due to the family moving. Soon, I was adopted again but returned after 20 days because the pet in the home did not accept me. I have been a resident at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe twice, and everyone there thought I was a terrific boy! My outstanding qualities include the following: I`m very active, very friendly, talkative, and playful. I will play fetch, am sociable with visitors, and play well with other cats. I have enjoyed my relationships with children. I answer to my name and earned this name honestly by my groundspeed! I adore getting my chin and jaw rubbed and scratched; it makes me start purring or smacking my tongue and lips. According to my latest owner, I am a loving and wonderful cat, and she was very sad at having to return me to the shelter. Please contact HSHC if I sound like the perfect cat for you and your family! I`ll be waiting. 1-8-25

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
