Kiki is an exceptional dog with a heart brimming with warmth and kindness. She's more than happy to accompany you on leisurely walks, but she also relishes the art of lounging around and taking it easy. When it comes to affection, cuddling her beloved humans is her ultimate delight. Fetch, on the other hand, is reserved for indoor adventures only.
While Kiki isn't particularly fond of chilly or rainy weather, she's an absolute sun worshipper. Basking in the warmth of the sun brings her immense joy. Initially, she may display timidity around new individuals, but once she forms a bond, her love knows no bounds.
For an ideal living situation, Kiki would thrive as the sole pet in a household without young children. A single person or an older couple would provide her with the serene environment she craves. It's important to note that Kiki exhibits reactivity towards other animals, which is why a pet-free home is recommended.
Regrettably, we find ourselves in the position of needing to rehome Kiki due to the recent arrival of our crawling baby. This change has caused her considerable anxiety. Our utmost desire is to find someone who will cherish Kiki just as deeply as we do and provide her with a nurturing home that suits her needs. It saddens us greatly to part with her, but we want nothing more than to secure her future happiness.

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.
We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.
UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
