My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Bama: Your Future Feline Friend!**

?? **Age:** 15 years
?? **Special Feature:** Blind but full of love

Bama is a gentle soul who has spent too many days in a kennel, and he's ready to find his forever home. This sweet boy may be blind, but his heart sees the world with kindness and affection. All Bama dreams of is a warm, loving environment where he can feel safe and cherished.

He's a lover at heart, always eager for gentle pets and soothing strokes. With his soft purrs and affectionate nature, Bama will melt your heart and remind you of the beauty in simple moments. He's looking for a cozy spot to rest, a good meal to savor, and a kind hand to guide him through life.

Bama deserves a chance to thrive in a loving home where he can feel the warmth of companionship. If you have a soft spot in your heart and a cozy lap to share, consider adopting or fostering Bama. Give him the love he craves and let him show you just how wonderful life can be with a gentle companion by your side. Open your heart to Bama, and together, you can create beautiful memories for the years to come!

More about this shelter

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.

We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.

UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
