Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Fifi has been at HHS since April 2023. While we love her deeply, a shelter is not a permanent home. Our blonde beauty with soulful brown eyes truly desires a loyal friend, stability, and structure to bring out the best in her. Fifi’s motto is “slow and steady wins the race.” She’s not a dog who wears her emotions right there on her sleeves. She prefers to let out bits of her personality a little at a time (and only after she’s certain you’ll stick with her). Her story before she came to HHS explains a lot about why she is slow to love. She was abandoned in a house by her previous owners. She waited for days but her family sadly never returned.
As saddened as we are by what happened to Fifi, we are even more grateful to our staff and #HHSVolunteers for giving Fifi so much in her 1.5 years at HHS – hikes, adventures in Williamsburg, car drives, long walks, snuggle time, puppuccinos, and most of all — being spoiled by whole-hearted love.
If you are interested in adopting her, please call or email our adoption team at info@heritagehumane.org or 757-221-0150. We recommend that potential adopters visit with Fifi multiple times. It takes time, but once Fifi opens her heart to you, be prepared for an abundance of affection and unwavering loyalty. Even those who are unable to adopt can still help Fifi find a home by sharing her story far and wide.
To help Fifi find his forever home our friends at Strangeways Brewing has sponsored her adoption fee!
