He loves being pet and LOVES getting treats (he's a foodie and has really packed on the pounds) and needs someone who will look beyond his rough exterior to love the personality within.
He was found outside, seriously injured, with deep wounds on his face, neck, and legs. He'd been fighting for his life out there and is glad to live the pampered life indoors.
Soldier is listed as 'special needs' because he is FIV positive. FIV isn't contagious to humans, but it is contagious to other cats through bites. FIV compromises the immune system. Soldier gets along with other cats for the most part (as long as they can observe his personal space bubble) but really enjoys being around his humans. He may do well in a home without other pets, or in a home with other adult cats that will leave him be.
