My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Espy is a sweet, young cat with the softest fur you’ll ever have the pleasure to pet. She is loving and a champion couch cuddler and absolutely adores attention from her humans. She can’t get enough pets once she’s gotten over her initial shyness, which Churu will help with a lot! She’ll push her head into your hand for pets, pets, and more pets. And just wait till you hear her purr motor roar. This girl is also hard to photograph cause she’s in motion so much. Yup, Espy loves to play, chasing toys by herself and with her forster, and then there's the wand toy -- irresistible.

Rescued in Brooklyn, Espy is very ready for her forever home and she'd like all your attention so a one-cat home is preferred. She does gets along well with other cats, but is an independent gal and not that interested in having a feline friend. Espy may be shy at first, but she'll warm up fast.

Espy is spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV and FIV, microchipped, and litter box trained.

Additional adoption info

Our cats are almost all in foster homes. Upon approval of your application (including reference check), we will connect you with the foster parent(s) so that you can meet the kitty you're interested in. If it's a good fit, we'll do a home check for safety issues, and then process the paperwork so that you can officially adopt your new family member!

More about this rescue

We are a network of rescuers in Central Brooklyn (primarily in Bed Stuy, Ocean Hill, and Crown Heights) who help each other out. We do both TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) as well as the rescue and adoption of friendly cats and kittens that we find on the streets. We don't have a physical facility, so our cats are usually in foster homes, or staying with us in our own homes. Our goal is to find loving, permanent homes for all the cats we take off the street, and to make better lives for the ones we return there.
