My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maru🩵

Meet Maru🩵

* Interaction with People: Maru is friendly but gets scared if approached too suddenly. He warms up quickly if approached slowly, wagging his tail and showing lots of affection.
* Interaction with Dogs: Maru is very friendly towards other dogs and always greets them politely during walks.
* Interaction with Cats: He is indifferent to cats, simply passing by them during walks without any fuss.
* Separation Anxiety: Maru is independent and manages well on his own.
* Potty Training: He is trained to go outdoors.
* Hygiene: While not a fan of baths or toothbrushing, he tolerates them well. He also willingly lets his paws be cleaned after walks.
* Walking: Maru is an excellent walker. He may start off fast but soon matches his pace with his handler, making eye contact and syncing footsteps.
* Car Sickness: Maru does not experience car sickness.

💌Special Note💌
* Maru has mastered commands like "sit," "wait," "come here," "no," "kiss," and is responsive to his name being called, returning with a bright gaze.
* He is sometimes frightened by loud noises like thunder and might try to hide

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
