My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buddy, a big-hearted pup with plenty of love to give! At just under 3 years old, Buddy is still very much a playful puppy at heart. He loves attention and gets along well with other dogs, though he would also thrive as an only pet due to some resource guarding tendencies.

Buddy is eager to learn and thrives when given guidance. While his recall and potty training are still works in progress, his enthusiasm and intelligence make him a quick learner with the right support. A home with a fenced-in yard would be ideal for Buddy, giving him the space he needs to run, play, and burn off his youthful energy.

Because of his size and exuberance, Buddy would do best in a home with older children who can match his playful energy and understand his needs.

Buddy's dream is to find a patient and loving family who can help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s ready to learn and love unconditionally, Buddy is your guy!

Special Considerations: Buddy would benefit from continued training and a home committed to working on his resource guarding.

More about this rescue

We started our rescue because there was not one in our area. We wanted to save dogs from kill shelters. More and more places are trying to go no kill, but there are so many animals out there desperate for new homes.
