My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scotty’s life has been transformed from a scraggly, matted, scared senior dog to one with a zest
and joy for life to be feeling so much better. You see, when he came to A New Dawn, most of
his teeth were rotten and hurting. A specialist had to extract almost all of them, and Scotty is a
new boy, happily playing with his squeaky toy and one of the dogs at the center. He
is heartworm free, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered and is still
waiting for a special family to come and take him home. You may fill out an online application or
come to A New Dawn and meet him before completing your application. It will be screened, and
your references checked before being notified of approval. He deserves a loving forever place in
your home.

More about this rescue

Founded in 2009, A New Dawn Pet Adoption Center tackles the issue of homeless pet overpopulation in Deer Park, Texas, and surrounding areas. As a no-kill, limited-capacity center, A New Dawn is devoted to finding loving, forever homes for small breed dogs in a setting that resembles a home. Operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, A New Dawn relies solely on volunteers and public donations, with all funds raised going towards the dogs' medical care and living expenses. Each dog enjoys a personal room complete with a bed, toys, and blankets. Although there is a cattery, it is not currently operational and instead provides a haven for five elderly cats left behind by their deceased owners.
