Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Cole is about 10-11 years old. We adopted him from someone in May 2020. We were able to get him some professional training to follow some commands well.
He is house trained and can be home for several hours without needing to use the bathroom. Although we do come home for lunch to make sure his bladder isn't full all day.
He is fast and moody as he is every bit of both Italian Greyhound and Chihuahua.
He is sweet to those who are sweet with him. But by no means is he a highly social dog with people or animals. You may be able to get him comfortable around more adults, but I am unsure of children.
He absolutely does not care for:
- loud people who move around a lot AKA high energy
- anyone "baby-talking" him
- too much attention and heavy petting he doesn't initiate
He does like:
- soft spoken people
- walks, though not too long
- to learn new tricks and commands
He's very smart and protective. Likes to run and get his toys, though we haven't taught him to fetch.
