Beautiful, affectionate, and eager to please; what more could you want in a dog?! Introducing the wonderful Sierra, a 5-6 year old large breed pup that is beyond excited to be welcomed into her new forever home. Sierra came to us nearly 3 years ago after her family could no longer care for her. Since then she's been hanging out getting to know all of us here at ARE and becoming an easy favorite. She does need a little help with her leash manners but would be happy to be a running partner or even just a friend to walk around the block with. Sierra has only done well with male dogs since being with us and has not met any dogs smaller than her nor any cats. While she can be picky about her dog friends, Sierra LOVES love from people. She warms up super quickly to anyone as long as they have some attention to give her and maybe a treat, too! She will happily follow you around everywhere and give you as many kisses as you'll allow her to. Her biggest desire in the world is to be by your side getting loved on (head scratches are her favorite!). Sierra would do best in a home that would give her some time to decompress after her long shelter stay and work with her on how to be someone's best friend again!

Our goal is to adopt as many pets into loving forever homes as possible each month. We screen applications and arrange meet and greet times with each animal. Once the potential adopter has completed their application and met the pet, we do a 1 on 1 consultation about pet care and the life expectancy of their new family member.
