Finn is a sweetheart 3 year old lab mix who is finally ready to find his forever people!
Finn had a rough go at life before making it to his current foster home. He was hit by a car resulting in a tail amputation and came back to SAAP when his former adopter was in an accident left that them unable to care for Finn. As a result, Finn is a pretty nervous guy, and he is learning that the world isn’t that scary!
Finn is a cuddle bug and a velcro dog who loves snuggles and his people more than anything. He seems to be dog selective and is a little socially awkward, so he would do best with a patient, confident dog friend, and slow introductions.
Finn has been working hard on training in his foster home to be ready for adoption. He is learning to be brave when cars drive by on walks, how to ignore other dogs walking, and how to be calm and relaxed in his crate. Finn does best when crated about a maximum of 5 hours and is mostly responsible when left in a dog proof room/space (he sometimes gets a taste for his bed).
Finn’s training is being supported by Pawlished Dog Training, and his adopters will get a free lesson and lifelong support! We would love for Finn to find a foster to adopt home to help guide his future family through his transition to their home.
