Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Carly is as adorable as they come, but like many of us, she carries a little bit of baggage. With her unique quirks and endearing ways, she’s ready to find her perfect forever home! Carly isn’t one for walks or adventures as she’s more of a backyard queen. She thrives with a safe, enclosed space where she can explore at her own pace without dealing with the big, scary world. Restaurants, parks, and beaches aren’t her thing; instead, she’s happiest at home with someone who can spend most of the day with her.
Carly isn’t into fetch or tug-of-war; she’s far too sophisticated for those games. Instead, her favorite activity is “Save My Baby,” where she lovingly drops her toy near you, again and again, for you to “rescue.” It’s her unique and charming way of bonding! Carly is also a bit of a diva and prefers to be the center of attention. While she does okay with cats and dogs, she truly shines as the only pet in the home. She’d do best in an adult-only household due to her resource-guarding tendencies.
Having been with us since 2021, Carly has been patiently waiting for her perfect match. She’s looking for an experienced, compassionate owner who can offer her a calm, low-key life and understands dogs with resource-guarding behaviors. Continuing her work with a certified behaviorist or vet behaviorist is essential, and maintaining her anxiety medication will help ensure she’s comfortable, especially during transitions.
Carly is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your application has been received and approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online dog application.

Additional adoption info
Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.
All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
