My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benny was returned to us at the age of 8 months through no fault of his own. He had never been set boundaries or taught basic obedience. He has been with a trainer to learn these skills. Although he is still a work in progress, the ideal solution would be for him to be in a home environment where he can practice his skills daily.

Benny has transitioned to a home environment and is thriving! He shows no signs of aggression and interacts well with dogs of all sizes. He appears to understand the need to be gentle with smaller or older dogs. When it comes to cats, he's friendly, although he tends to chase them if they run-it's all in good fun! An encounter with a non-fleeing cat suggests he's playful rather than harmful. Benny is also comfortable around children of various ages and has significantly improved his play manners with other dogs. Currently, he's mastering his recall skills, walks quite well on a leash, and is familiar with the commands 'sit' and 'down' (still perfecting these), as well as 'wait'.

Benny is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Ideal home is an active family with the ability to set consistent boundaries especially while he's learning and helping reinforce.

His adoption fee is $350.

Additional adoption info

Our process starts with a person finding a dog they are interested in and filling out an application on our website.. Once approved we will work with you to find the dog of your choice or set up a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in. We will work hard to get the right fit with your family and set you up for success! Once you have found the dog we then can either foster with potential to adopt or just adopt depending on the situation. No pet is final adopted until they are fixed. Our requirements are over 21, and have a legitimate income. We evaluate each family and dog based on their individual situations so please don't be afraid to talk to us..

Go meet their pets

We are foster based so please contact us to arrange meeting any of our animals. Our dogs are spread out around the area in foster homes to help them relax, help us evaluate where they are in behaviors and to get them used to living in a home if they've not before.

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue that was founded after saving one dog. We bring most of our dogs from high kill shelters in other states, vet them, get the spayed or neutered and ready for adoption. We do this because we love dogs and we are not happy with the fact that so many healthy dogs are being killed. We can't change the world but we can change the life of some of these poor dogs!!
