My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flo is a beautiful little girl who has come so far in her foster home. She came back to SAAP after 2 yrs when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She developed some anxiety and fear of having a collar and leash put on. She is doing much better in this regard and is letting foster mom put them on more often than not. She still has some overall anxiety and is on daily medication to help her settle down a bit. She is so sweet and loves to be petted. She is crate (her safe place) and house trained. She is good with other dogs, cats and would do well with kids who respect her space when she is nervous. She is a 25 lb terrier mix.
She would love to find a family that will continue to let her find her confidence on her time and show her the love she deserves in the meantime.
She does piddle a bit when she is nervous so a not carpeted home would be best.

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
