Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Look up "good boy" in the dictionary, and you're sure to find a picture of Randy! He is smart, playful, and eager-to-please. His fosters report he is the easiest pup they’ve ever had, just give this sweet guy some stuffies, bones, chew toys, and a sunny spot to nap in, and he is set.
This playful pup has medium energy and is a trusty companion while you're working from home. He'll curl up and nap when you're busy, then he'll gladly play a game of tug-o-war with you during your 10-15 minute breaks. He's completely house trained (yes, that means potty-trained, crate-trained, all-the-things trained!) and is great at knowing which toys he can chew and which he can't - this means he won't leave any surprises during any conference calls. Even better, Randy is content to entertain himself when his pawrents are busy, and you won’t see any separation anxiety out of this guy. He is a champ at being left alone and loves following the sunny spots throughout the day.
During the weekends, Randy loves to chase tennis balls, go on walks, and chew on his plush toys. But don't worry - if you need a calm night in, he'll happily curl up with you on the couch while watching TV. This mush adores belly rubs, cuddles, and sleeping in. His foster jokes he’s like a teenage boy: they have to wake him up for his morning walks no matter how late they sleep in. No 6am potty breaks for this guy!
When meeting new people, Randy is shy at first, but he warms up after a few minutes and is very gentle and friendly. He'll be great in any home that will give him the love he deserves. He thrives on routine and is food motivated, making training a breeze. This smarty pants knows sit, stay, paw, down, and leave it.
Did you think we were done? Oh no! Randy also is wonderful during bath time, can sleep either with his people or on his own bed if preferred, is great on car rides – including long trips – and even rides elevators like a pro. He isn’t fazed by loud noises, so bring on the city-living and fireworks! There isn’t much this sweet guy dislikes, making him a perfect fit for so many homes.
Randy prefers to be the only dog in his castle. Are you ready to help Randy find his furever? Apply to adopt today!

We believe that every animal has the right to a well-balanced, socialized and fulfilled life. We take on the responsibility to save, rehabilitate and place abandoned, abused and stray animals. We provide medical, behavioral and physical support for animals despite their age, health, and/or breed. At ALIVE Rescue, we promote sustainable living and care-giving by building awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and the environment within our communities. We constantly work to educate the public on current animal issues, including the benefits of spaying/neutering pets.
