My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey everyone, my name is Tiny and I am a 1.5-year-old female. You will probably never read a cat biography quite like this one. I am searching for a very specific adopter. You see, I have haphephobia, which is the fear of being touched. I love people but I just don't want them touching me. Normally this means that I will end up being a barn cat. But truly, I would rather be inside.

I enjoy being indoors and am hoping someone will take a chance on me. Without a doubt, I am the LOWEST MAINTENANCE cat ever. All I need is food, water and a litter box. The benefits of owning a cat with my condition and reasons that I might be a good fit for you include:

*Need a BFF for your current cat/s? DONE. I love my peeps.
*Need a fluffy ball or laser dot chaser (my fave.) I'M YOUR CAT!
*Need a bodyguard to follow you from room to room? I'M THERE!
*Need a cat to stare at you lovingly (true story.) PICK ME! I CAN DO THAT!
*Need a cat that will give you your own personal space? NAILED IT!
*Need a cat that will watch tv with you? I GOT YOU COVERED!

So, that is Tiny's' story. If she gets a forever home, there might be potential for her to adjust. If you have any questions about her, please contact me. I have been her foster for about 2 months now and just want the best for her. Obviously, Tiny would fit best in a home with other cats and no small children. I will be glad to pay her adoption fee!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Please see our website: www.catscradleva.org for a copy of our adoption application and adoption contract. Adoption fees vary, but generally run around $135.

All our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, and fully vetted. We have an adoption center in Harrisonburg, but we also make extensive use of foster homes until adoption.

We generally prefer indoor only homes, and our contract specifies that the cat(s) will not be de-clawed.

We have some cats that cannot be adopted into an indoor situation. For these, we seek safe barn or out-building locations.

Go meet their pets

We show our cats at PetSmart in Springfield, VA on most 1st and 3rd Saturdays, at the PetSmart in Harrisonburg, VA on some Saturdays and some Sunday afternoons, and at the Petsmart in Waynesboro on Saturdays. We also show cats at our adoption center at 124 S Main St. in Harrisonburg 11-6 M-F, and 11-5 Sat and 11-4 Sunday.

Please visit our website: www.catscradleva.org for other adoption events and hours for showings or call the adoption center at 540-433-1135.

More about this rescue

Founded in 1998, Cat’s Cradle seeks to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable cats and dogs in Shenandoah Valley through aggressive spay/neuter of owned animals and TNR (trap/neuter/release) of feral cats.

We also have a network of foster parents and an active adoption program for cats. In 2009 we opened an adoption center in Harrisonburg. We do not euthanize for space.

Please visit our website at: www.catscradleva.org for more information.
