*Introducing adoptable Penelope!*

Here I come to you. I am Penelope! And such a pretty girl I am. I have beautiful, silky-smooth fur, big floppy ears and bright brown eyes. I am healthy and I am spayed. I am a spunky seven years old, and just over 50lbs. Don’t let my age fool you, I love to go on walks, and I can walk pretty far on cool, fall days. I also love to play fetch. I am one of the best listeners- I can sit, give paw, stay, come on command, go to my space when I am told, and I do all my potties outside on a schedule. I do love mealtimes and look forward to eating, and I will let you know when my next meal is nearing by following you all over. I have been working on my manners when in the kitchen and around other people’s food.

At times I can get overwhelmed by all the excitement in life. It helps if I am given space and some gentle pets and soft, calming words of comfort. I do not mind my crate, and I really like my doggie bed and soft calming blankets. I love people, both adults and teens. I also seem to be friendly with most dogs but tend to stay away from dogs bigger than me and ones that do a lot of barking. I like to go places with my humans, and I am up for adventures if you want to take me. Nothing so far has seemed to overly spook me. And get this, I sleep in! I don’t wake up in the morning until someone comes to wake me. Even then I am slow to wake up. I like some pets, kisses, and calming words before heading out for a walk, doing my business and then breakfast.

So in a nutshell: I like my space when you need your space, but I also love to share space. What do you think? -Penelope
