My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Wolfie. But I'm not actually a wolf, I'm a husky mix transferred to Big Dog Ranch to find my home. I've tried out a few homes, but they were not the right fit for me. We were able to learn that I need a person with husky experience who can handle both my breed-typical grooming needs and my quirks. See, while I am a very affectionate and sweet dog, I do have certain boundaries. I am not too fond of sharing, and I would prefer not to be pestered while I eat. A bit of training and parenting would certainly help me. I happen to already be great on a leash and clean in my kennel. I would do best in a home with only adults and no small animals, though I'm alright with certain dogs as long as they respect me. I enjoy a good trot around, but I also like to lay back and nap. I'm a very loving little puffball, and here's to hoping someone will love me back!

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit our website adoptions page to complete an adoption application. at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. Once you have completed the application, we will contact you to let you know you have been approved and then you will be able to set up an appointment to come and meet dogs you are interested in. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
