My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Bobbins and I am an approximately 8 year old 23lb chonky hunk of a tabby cat. Everyone tells me I have the most beautiful face with the most gorgeous green eyes.

I’m looking for my forever human—could that be you?

Get to Know Me – Fun Facts You’ll Love!
🌟 I’m a big foodie!
I’ll happily munch on anything, including raw veggies and fruits. Good luck sneaking a snack without me noticing! My favorite place to be is the kitchen where I play the role of chief supervisor if there’s any cooking happening.

🌟 I love kisses
Because of my weight, being picked up is uncomfortable for me but I love kisses on my cheeks, head rubs and chin scratches. I’ll even return your affection with sweet licks on your hand or face (if you let me, of course).

🌟 I’m your perfect bedtime buddy.
I won’t hog the bed. I like to sleep at the foot and might charm you with my adorable, soft snores. I’m not much of a cuddler, but I’ll reach out a paw just to let you know I’m near.

🌟 Escape artist? Not me!
I love life indoors and will faithfully greet you at the door when you come home.

🌟 I’m a cool, independent guy.
Long workdays? Don’t worry about me. I’m perfectly content with my own company and won’t mess up your stuff. No climbing where I shouldn’t or scratching things up—promise!

🌟 I’ve got a playful side.
My favorite toy is my catnip rainbow—I flop on my back and bat at toys like a pro!

🌟 Spa day approved.
Baths and brushes? No problem! I’m the easiest cat to bathe or groom so my fur stays soft and shiny.

🌟 Quirky & lovable.
I’m a larger-than-life character with a goofy charm that’ll keep you smiling. Oh, and I’m ridiculously photogenic. The camera loves me, and I’m always ready to “work it” for the perfect shot.

A Few Things to Note (But Nothing to Worry About!)
🐾 Health:
I’ve got early-stage kidney disease, but it’s well controlled and super easy to manage with a cheap, over-the-counter medicine mixed right into my food (and, let’s face it—I love food).

🐾 Solo Superstar:
I’m a people-loving, solo pet kinda guy. I would rather not share the spotlight with other pets.

🐾 Anxiety:
When I get anxious I comfort myself by grooming but sometimes I go too far and end up pulling out my fur. I used to do this a lot when I was taken to the shelter but I’m much better now and my fur has grown back perfectly.

My Hopes & Dreams 🌟

I hope to find my human soulmate—someone to love, spoil, and share all of life’s cozy moments.
I long for a forever home where I’ll feel safe, settled, and loved.
I just know you’ll fall for me—I’m simply irresistible!

💌 Are you ready to meet the cat of your dreams? Let’s make it official. I’m waiting to bring love, laughter, and big-cat charm into your life.

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
