My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sissy is a beautiful, sweet, 3 year old girl ready to find her forever home.

Sissy came to us with a few of her friends, who she still very much enjoys spending time with.
Since coming to our Adoption Center, Sissy has blossomed into a silly, and very sweet girl who truly wants to please people.

Recently, she started enjoying "Churu" snacks which has also helped increase her confidence around humans. In her free time, Sissy enjoys lounging around, and taking in all the sights of her surroundings.

The perfect home for Sissy would be one where she can take her time adjusting to her home, and one with lots of space for her to be active.

Home Checks are done for dogs only.

We get all vet information so we can perform a Vet Check.

Meet the Pet

Cats are usually met in our adoption facility and dogs are met at an adoption event or with their foster.

Approve Application

The fee is paid at the same time as signing the contract.

Additional adoption info

We require an application to be submitted. We will call your landlord, if applicable, and your veterinarian. We will visit your home prior to placing a pet with you to ensure as perfect a match as we can. Applying for a pet does not guarantee adoption. Our adoption fee is $100 for cats and $225 for dogs. We have a Senior to Senior adoption program - all pets 7 years of age up may be placed free of charge to a qualified senior citizen (age 65 and older).

All HOPE animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All HOPE animals are tested for heartworm, Lymes, feline leukemia, etc. and have been vaccinated as appropriate for the pet's age and species.

To meet a specific pet, you can call to set up an appointment with the pet's foster home. We also regularly have adoption clinics in the local area. More about this rescue

We mainly rescue dogs and cats from local Animal Shelters/Control when those facilities are overcrowded. Our adoptable cats are located in our H.O.P.E. Pet Adoption Center in the Wilton Mall and dogs are in individual foster homes.

We have educational programs for children and adults about choosing a pet and the responsibilities of pet ownership, and safety around animals.

We welcome volunteers for any of these programs or for our fundraising committee.
