There's brown rice, white rice, jasmine rice, and then there's me! Hi, I'm Rice! I'm a handsome boy who loves going on adventures. During my time at the shelter, I've gone on walks at City Park, strolled the Poudre River, and obviously had to enjoy many pup cups on our way home to top off the day! I'm a bouncy and bubbly boy looking for a home to call our very own. Some things about me? I think I would do best in a home without have any cats. Some say I love them due to my tendency to want to chase them, and some say I don't like them... but, I just know they're not for me! I'm always looking for new dog friends, I just ask that I meet them first since I can be on the selective side. If I sound like I could be the one for you, please come meet me today!

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.

Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
