Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Molly came to us as a stray back in June 2023. We can count on one hand how many times Molly has been asked about. She doesn’t “show” well in her kennel, and needs to spend some one-on-one time with you before you see her real personality. Molly has been much pickier about other dogs, but we would love to do some meet and greets! She hasn’t been cat tested but we can absolutely do so if requested. Molly is full of energy and loves to run around and play! She would do best in a home with older kids/teens, as she can be a little on the nervous side.

Additional adoption info
The Marion County Dog Pound is now under the control of the Marion County Sheriff's Office and is located at 2252 Richland Road. We are required by law to hold a dog for 3 days to allow the owner to claim the dog. If it is not claimed, it will then be an adoptable dog. We will post all adoptable dogs on our Facebook page along with pictures. The adoption fee is $123.00 which includes the spay/neuter surgery, Heartworm tes, rabies, Intra-trac, and Dapp Vaccines, and a dog tag. We are a rescue friendly facility and do not charge a pull fee, rescues are more than welcome to make a donation when pulling a vetted dog but it is not required.
Dogs are as is. There are no health guarantees
Adopters are required to sign an agreement to spay/neuter the dog if not already done, the dog may be seized if any portion of the adoption contract is broken.

More about this shelter
The Marion County Dog Pound is a county facility that is ran by the Marion County Sheriff's Office, we respond to stray/loose dogs and Humane cases, bringing in several dogs a week. Since the Sheriff's Office took over, we have became classified as a no-kill facility only euthanizing for sickness and aggression. We are doing our best to maintain a no-kill environment and are working diligently to help and re-home every dog that comes through our doors. To do this we need the help of our community. Volunteers are welcome to come out at any time!
