My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie Momma has done an incredible job raising her pups. They are now weaned and she is available for a “foster to adopt.”She has started her heartworm treatment which will be fully covered by HMR, she has a pre-paid appointment for a spay on 12/19 (she needs time to tighten up her belly for surgery HMR volunteers will get her to and from appointment). Her adoption can be finalized after her spay.
She is 1-2 yrs old and most likely a mix of Lab and dachshund. She is about 55 lbs now and should fill out to around 60.
One of the finest dogs we have met, truely. She is incredibly social, was living with a cat while raising her pups and other than needing some basic obedience work she Is fantastic. Very smart and eager to please she picks up new routines quickly. She learned to use potty pads while raising her pups but definitely prefers to do her business outside.
Will make a fantastic family dog as she has shown a gentle nature around kids and would also make a fun partner for someone wanting to take in brewery and vineyards on the weekend. She is young and active so we don’t recommend her for someone wanting a total couch potato.
