ABOUT ME:
Tucson (11 weeks old) is an incredibly special kitten and has a very special place in our hearts. My husband and I started our rescue this year and after an incredible year of rescuing nearly 100 kittens, Tucson is our last to be adopted. Out of all the cats that we have had, he easily ranks within the top 3 best of all time. His personality is amazing. He is so gentle and sweet. He sleeps with us every single night, with his head on my pillow and tucked under the comforter with us. He stays there all night long and refuses to leave our side. When we call him, he instantly runs to us, starts purring, and gives us the sweetest little nose kisses. He's basically a mini teddy bear.
Our rescue took Tucson and his brother Phoenix in when they were only 3 weeks old. His brother Phoenix was incredibly ill, and crashed on us a few times (limp, unconscious, gasping for air). Luckily, after 8 hours, we were able to revive him both times. Thus the name "Phoenix." My husband made Phoenix a promise that if he came back to life, then he would have a forever home with us. Tucson was there with us the entire time, comforting and licking his lifeless brother. The two of them love each other so much and I would love nothing more than to adopt Tucson myself, however, we have already adopted 3 cats this year and my husband didn't approve adopting a 4th.
IMPORTANT: We are looking for the most perfect adopter for Tucson and this individual must be open to the idea of letting the brother reunite every now and then. Also adopter must agree to regular photo and text updates on how Tucson is growing up.
Tucson LOVES our 2 year old golden retriever. They are best friends and they are always cuddling together. He is also great around cats and kittens of all ages. He is still a kitten, so he has lots of energy and loves to play.
I hope it is clear just how much we love Tucson. We raise these babies, nurse them back to health, care for them fully, and then find them forever homes. It has always been hard watching our babies leave, but Tucson will be especially hard for us. He is our last to be adopted before we take a long break from rescue. Tucson needs an extra special adopter, who will shower him with love and the attention that he deserves. He needs to have a play buddy at home (ideally at least one cat and one dog).
