My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing the one and only McGee! This 14-month-old, 50-pound bundle of affection and charm is on the hunt for his forever family, and trust us, any lucky family that brings him home will have their hearts stolen! McGee is the ultimate sweetie with a personality that will melt you every single day. Just wait until you see his adorable smile when you walk through the door – it's impossible not to fall head over heels!

McGee is already house-trained, crate-trained, and an absolute people-pleaser. He walks like a pro on a leash, even when another dog is tagging along. Whether it’s car rides, fetch, or endless playtime, McGee is always game! He has a passion for toys, and his top picks are interactive wonders like the Kong feeder, Woggle ball, and chewing Nyla bones. But don’t hand him a soft toy unless you want to see him dissect it with surgical precision – tough toys are much more his style!

Currently, McGee shares his home with another dog, and they’re living their best lives together – playing, napping, and strolling side by side. He absolutely LOVES making new doggy friends, although he does get a little overzealous with the greetings. A meet-and-greet is a must for potential doggy siblings, but once they’re buddies, they’ll be inseparable! McGee is best suited for a home without small children. If there are children, they should be older teens who understand his exuberant, larger-than-life energy. He’s also happiest with a fenced-in yard to run and play! McGee is a smart cookie – he knows “sit,” “paw,” “lie down,” “come,” “touch,” “leave it,” and “go to your bed.” He is diligently working on stay and he will even sit patiently for his food before you ask him to! Check out his profile for videos of this charming dog showing off his skills! McGee is generally even-tempered but does have a bit of a sensitivity to cleaning tools like vacuums, brooms, mops, and spray bottles. Who likes cleaning, anyway, though? His foster family is working on this little quirk, and he's making progress!

His foster mom can't say enough good things about him: “He is the gentlest, goofiest dog ever! I think he should have been named Rabbit because of his ability to jump straight up!! It’s the funniest sight! All of a sudden, he just pops into the air! He loves to play, but he also loves to snuggle. All you have to say is “nap time!” And he plops on the couch with you and happily snores away! He totally thinks he’s a lap dog and I’m happy to let him be! His energy and activity levels basically match whatever the household’s is. If it’s quiet, he’s quiet. If you’re playing, he’s playing. He is always just eager to be with you.”

McGee is current on immunizations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $415, and he’s ready to add all his love and happiness to a lucky family. If you're looking for a spirited, playful, and affectionate pup, McGee is your guy!
