My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE 12.19 STILL AVAIALABLE!
Update 11.13 - Still no takers for Benny. This cat has an AMAZING personality! Please help! ADOPTER or Foster-to-Adopt home NEEDED FOR BENNY: This cat has a HUGE personality! When he went to clinic as a kitten in 2015, there were 68 other cats & kittens being vetted that day, but, EVERYONE (vets, techs, TNR trappers, volunteers, & families dropping off & picking up their own pets, knew Benny's name by the end of the day! He greeted EVERYONE, asked for cuddles from EVERYONE & talked to EVERYONE! Benny was adopted but is being returned because his adopter is moving & can no longer care for him. He is a great cat who likes dogs & cats. He does have chronic sniffles & so will need monitoring. We've had a lot of luck with these cats by treating with imuquin & allergy meds (1/2 a generic Claritin a day, which may well work for Benny too). We will have Benny vetted before placement to see if that treatment is right for him. He is neutered & will be updated on his vaccinations before being placed.

More about this rescue

Stray Streets TNR was formed to bring compassionate care and population control to the stray and discarded companion animals of Havre de Grace. Abandoned by irresponsible former “owners” these animals have been left to fend for themselves and to breed without end. Our mission is to provide, food, veterinary care in the form of spay/neuter, vaccination & emergency services to these homeless animals and their feral offspring in the hopes of preventing their existence in Havre de Grace from being viewed as a nuisance or health hazard in the communities in which they exist. We also act as a resource to assist residents in identifying new strays that need to be fixed, giving humane tips on how keeping strays out of flowerbeds and from taking up refuge under homes and decks. Because our colony caregivers are on site every day we are also approachable to help owners needing access to low cost spay/neuter services for their own pets, as well as to help put people who need to place unwanted pets with shelters and rescues that may be able to help rather than having the animal turned out onto the streets.
