My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Must adopt with bond mate, Goose

Hi there! I'm Loon, the curious and friendly bunny who can't wait to meet you! I happen to be the smaller sister of my bond mate, Goose, so we come as a package deal. We were born on 8/15/2022, just a few days after our mother was rescued from a terrible life in an outdoor hutch. Thankfully, we were born into a better world!

When you enter the room, get ready for a joyful greeting from me. I'm always curious and excited to see new faces, especially if you happen to have some food or treats for me. That's an instant way to win my heart!

At first, you might find me hiding as I adjust to our new space. But once I feel comfortable, you'll see me hopping and exploring all over the place. Goose and I are inseparable. We do everything together—eating, sleeping, and just enjoying each other's company. She's truly my best friend!

When it comes to food, Goose and I have similar tastes. We both enjoy romaine, cilantro, and parsley for our daily dose of greens. Occasionally, our foster humans treat us to kale, arugula, spinach, or red leaf lettuce to mix things up. Honestly, we're not picky eaters—we'll happily munch on any greens we're given. And let's not forget about our love for hay! We can nibble on it all day long. Oh, and we do drink a lot of water, so our dish will need to be refilled a few times each day. But don't worry, we're excellent litterbox users!

Of course, like any bunny, I adore my daily slice of banana. It's a highlight of my day! Sometimes we're surprised with a craisin, Timothy Hay Loop, or other treats that make us very happy. And speaking of happiness, if you decide to lie down on the floor with us, don't be surprised if we hop on top of you. That's our way of showing affection. We bunnies aren't particularly fond of being picked up, but we'll shower you with love in our own unique ways.

Once we've settled into our new home, Goose and I become extremely friendly. We were born in rescue, so we've known love and care from the very beginning. You can pet us almost anywhere, but be warned—our whiskers are ticklish! If a sudden noise startles us, we might run away briefly, but we'll come back soon after, reassured that all is well.

So, are you ready to embark on an adventure with me and Goose? We're excited to find a forever home where we can continue to grow and thrive together. With our curious nature and friendly personalities, we'll bring joy and love to your life. Let's meet and see if we're the perfect match!

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).  We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website:  http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.  For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement.  Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
