Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Peter came to AFRP with his two brothers (Bobby and Greg - lovingly deemed The Brady Bunch) from Hitchcock Road Animal Services. All three of them were born with a congenital defect known as eyelid agenesis (missing eyelids). They all received a special surgery to reconstruct their eyelids and now, they're ready to take on the world with a new point of view (literally)!
Due to his medical condition, Peter had a rough start, fearful of most things because he wasn't able to see well. Although he had a slower start to his life, it hasn’t affected his sweet and loving personality at all!
Peter can be shy initially, but he is a very sweet, gentle and loving cat once adjusted to his new environment. Peter enjoys playing with his brother Bobby with whom he is bonded and the two of them are looking to be adopted together.
Peter and Bobby are looking for a quiet home with children over the age of ten or adults only. They would do fine with other gentle cats or dogs after slow introductions.
Peter is on a daily eye drop (artificial tears). He does very well with his medication and is used to receiving it. He also recently started a special diet for food sensitivities due to some persistent chin acne, which can be a sign of allergies.
Peter is currently at our adoptions location inside Pet Food Express at the Crossroads in Carmel. Fill out an application online and come meet Peter and Bobby at Pet Food Express!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.
All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
